With Series 11 Rami’s Racing History wrapping up next week, Playground Games has announced the next Forza Monthly will air this Thursday. While no other details were shared, the teaser image confirms a brand new car will make its Forza debut in Series 12.
Electric Audi RS e-tron GT coming to Forza Horizon 5
The teaser image shows a rear quarter shot of the Audi RS e-tron GT focusing on the electric performance four-door saloon’s striking rear lights and aggressive styling and muscular wheel arches.
Take a closer look and you can see the RS badge on the back indicating it’s the high-performance variant.
In real life, Audi’s first all-electric RS model uses the same dual electric motor setup as the Porsche Taycan Turbo. Combined, this setup produces up to 670 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0- 60 mph in three seconds flat.
With those performance figures, the RS e-tron GT will be a welcome addition to FH5’s electric car lineup, joining the likes of the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Rimac C_Two. As FH5’s Car Pass has ended, the RS e-tron GT will be a Series 12 reward car.
While the RS e-tron GT was shown in the Forza Motorsport trailer, this is the first time the electric performance saloon has appeared in a Forza Horizon game. With FM not launching until next spring, you’ll be able to drive it in FH5 first in Series 12.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 12
Given that this week will be the final season of Series 11 Rami’s Racing History, Forza Horizon 5 Series 12 is expected to start next week on 15 September.
The Audi RS e-tron GT teaser could hint at another electric car theme in Forza Horizon 5 Series 12 after Series 10’s Extreme E theme, but we’ll have to wait until the next Forza Monthly show to find out more details.
As well as giving a full rundown of Forza Horizon 5 Series 12, we’re hoping this week's Forza Monthly will reveal more about the upcoming Donut Media Horizon Story coming to FH5 later this year.
