Horse racing games have usually been shown from a distant or top-down camera view, and the overall game revolves around strategy-based decisions. But what if instead of watching from above, you could actually sit on the horse and feel every second of the race?
That’s what Full Stride is trying to achieve: a new kind of racing experience game that puts you right in the saddle and makes you ride like a real jockey.
Developed by Yokohama-based studio Blue Bullet, Full Stride is set to launch in the first quarter of 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Windows through Steam.
Instead of focusing on management, breeding, or team-building systems, the game will concentrate solely on the excitement of riding and the competitiveness of racing.
Full Stride: Gameplay Features of Upcoming Horse Racing Game

As the game is still in the development stage, based on the trailer and developers' inputs, these are the game features of the upcoming first-person horse racing game, Full Stride.
A Saddle Level View of the Horse Race
The very first striking feature of this game is its first-person horse-riding view. So basically, the camera sits right at saddle level, showing you the track, your horse’s head, and the riders around you. The game will try to present an experience similar to that of actually racing on the field.
Adding further to this feature, when you are on the horse, you can see dirt flying up from the ground, hear the sound of hooves, and feel the horse's speed increase as you push your horse forward.
But above all that, from the visual aspect, the game still looks a bit below par as per modern standards. Now, whether the final output will see improvement on this aspect remains to be seen.
Skill-Based Control to Replicate Actual Racing

As mostly seen in arcade-style games, which place a lot of emphasis on the game’s stats to decide who wins, Full Stride rewards skill and precision.
For example, if you start the race too fast, it will make your horse's stamina drain fast as well. So yes, saving energy for the right moment will be a crucial aspect of this game. Furthermore, you also have to take care of judging turns and not overuse your sprint.
The Game will Feature Dynamic Race Tracks
The race courses are an important part of any racing game. Full Stride features fully three-dimensional tracks that vary in layout, distance, surface type, and elevation.
Much like Gran Turismo, iRacing, and Automobilista, it will also feature dynamic weather and days. Taking a similar approach to these games, horses in the game will come with their own set of performance traits like speed, stamina, sprint potential, and more.

Full Stride Release Date, Platforms, and Pricing
As mentioned above, the game will be launched in Q1 2026. While the exact release date has not been made public, players can expect it sometime between January and March next year. The game will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam.
From a pricing perspective, it is still unclear, as Blue Bullet has yet to announce that. However, considering all the features, it is safe to assume it will mostly fall in the mid-price-range segment. As soon as official pricing or pre-order details are shared, this section will be updated.
