Gran Turismo 7 just received one of its biggest patches ever. The Spec III update brought several new cars, tracks, and a paid DLC pack to the circuit racer. Of course, outside of the usual new content additions, there are neat QoL changes as well.

The Spec III added 8 cars and 2 popular F1 circuits to Gran Turismo 7:

Cars

  • 2023 Ferrari 296 GT3 (available in Brand Central)
  • 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB (available in Brand Central)
  • 1985 FIAT Panda 30 CL (available at the Used Cars dealership)
  • Gran Turismo F3500-B (available in Brand Central)
  • Mine's BNR34 GT-R N1 base (available in Brand Central)
  • 1997 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R (available at the Used Cars dealership)
  • 2026 Polestar 5 Performance (available in Brand Central)
  • 1995 Renault Espace F1 (available at the Legend Cars dealership)

Tracks

  • Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve (2.71 miles)
  • Yas Marina (3.28 miles)

Beyond these two tracks, a new layout of Nürburgring Endurance II has been added for Time Trial mode. It is a reverse course version of the Nurburgring Endurance track layout, which was added with Update 1.31.

Additionally, three circuit experiences have been added, one each for the latest tracks and one for Eiger Nordwand Reverse.

Costing you a total of $30, the Power Pack DLC of Gran Turismo adds a new game mode that offers a variety of challenges, including full racing weekend formats from practice to qualifying to the main race, 50 new events across 20 themed categories, 5,000,000 in-game Credits, and six specially tuned cars.

The tuned cars are as follows:

  • Ford Mustang 2015 American Racer
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R GP-Tuned (KPGC10)
  • Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930)
  • Toyota AE86 Levin D-Tuned
  • Toyota Supra GT Road Car (JZA80)
  • Volkswagen Beetle 1966 Desert Racer

The Power Pack content will appear after clearing Menu Book No. 9 Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade. Likewise, the Power Pack pavilion has been added to the World Map as well.

Keep in mind that the DLC is only available for PlayStation 5 players.

Several new events have been added to World Circuits following the Spec III update; they're as follows:

  • European Sunday Cup 400: Goodwood Motor Circuit
  • Japanese FF Challenge: Blue Moon Bay Speedway – Infield A
  • Nissan GT-R Cup: Circuit Gilles–Villeneuve
  • Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Yas Marina Circuit
  • World Touring Car 800: Yas Marina Circuit
  • Super Formula: Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
  • Gr.1 Prototype Series: Yas Marina Circuit

Gran Turismo 7 Spec III New Menu

Four Extra Menus have been added to the Extra Menus section of the Café following the Spec III patch:

  • Extra Menu No. 48: Alfa Romeo Legends (Collector Level 70)
  • Extra Menu No. 49: Legendary Road Racers (Collector Level 66 and above)
  • Extra Menu No. 50: Audi TT (Collector Level 52 and above)
  • Extra Menu No. 51: Mazda (Collector Level 57 and above)

Gran Turismo 7 Spec III New Features

We have listed all notable new features added to Gran Turismo 7 with the Spec III update:

  • Opening Movie: The opening cinematic that plays when the game starts has been updated. After installing the update, the "Play Opening Movie" setting will automatically switch to "On" the next time you launch the game.
  • Data Logger: Data Logger lets players review and analyze driving data from their replays in modes such as Time Trial and Drift Trial. You can load data immediately after completing a run, pull it from your saved replays, or download replays from the top online rankings. This feature is available in the following modes:
    • Time Trial
    • Online Time Trial
    • Drift Trial
    • License Centre
    • Circuit Experience
  • Seasonal Menu: The Seasonal Menu has been added to the Café as new post-ending content. Collect different cars each season to unlock extra rewards. It can be found on the top-right corner of the Café screen.

Beyond the highlights we've mentioned, check out the full official update notes for the Spec III update of Gran Turismo 7:

Collector Level

The Collector Level cap has been raised from 50 to 70. For levels gained above 50, players will be rewarded with unlimited invitations for use in Brand Central.

Dunlop Tires

Originally founded in the UK and now operating from Japan, Dunlop Tires has been added. After the update, tires featured in the Tuning Shop and default tires on special cars will feature Dunlop designs.

Weekly Challenges

Mission Challenge and Time Trial events have been added to the Weekly Challenges that unlock after viewing the ending. Alongside Special Race, these events will be available for a limited time period.

Scapes

The following locations have been added as featured Curations in Scapes.

  • Yas Marina Circuit
  • Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
  • Tuning Shop
  • Additional Light Location

In the Additional Light Location, extra lighting has been added to create brighter, more beautiful photos in situations where the car can appear too dark, like with strong backlighting.

Brand Central

  • A new Channel and Museum section for Dunlop has been added for Asia-Pacific (Japan).
  • A new Channel and Museum section for Polestar has been added for Europe (Sweden).
  • A new Channel for Mine's has been added for Asia-Pacific (Japan).
  • New Museum entries for Brembo have been added for Europe (Italy).

Characters

There are new sets of conversations with the characters appearing in the Café. These new conversations can be accessed by changing to the following cars in the Garage and speaking with the characters in the Café.

Car Customization

Physics Simulation Model

  • The electric motor control parameters for the Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept '25 have been adjusted.
  • The power calculation of the electric motors for the following cars has been repaired: Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, Skoda Vision Gran Turismo, and Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept '25.

Steering Controllers

Simulated friction to select force-feedback steering wheel controllers has been added to bring the steering feel closer to that of a real car. You’ll now notice a smoother, more authentic resistance as you turn the wheel. Full force feedback effects have also been enabled on the Fanatec GT DD Extreme.

Multiplayer changes

  • Added a "Room ID" setting to the Lobby.
  • Added an "Enter Room ID" option to the room selection screen in the Lobby.
  • Added a "Private" option to the Room Privacy settings in the Lobby; private rooms can only be accessed by entering the Room ID on the room selection screen.
  • Changed the default search Region on the room selection screen to "Same Region."
  • Added the following options to Race Settings: Minimum Number of Pit Stops and Required Tire Type Change.
  • Added "Disabled" to the Slipstream Strength settings.
  • Added the following filters to the Regulation Settings: Year (Lower Limit), Year (Upper Limit), Drivetrain, and Aspiration.
  • Pressing the triangle button on the Room screen now displays the specs of all cars entered.

And that's pretty much everything that has been changed, added, and improved following the Spec III update of Gran Turismo 7.
