F1 2021 has been a huge success for Codemasters, but the game isn't quite done delivering new content just yet.
After the arrival of Portimao and Imola, the final new track for the game has finally arrived. Welcome to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit!
This track poses a peculiar challenge for Codemasters as the track hasn't been driven in real life. However, when can gamers expect to go racing on it?
Jeddah screenshots
Codemasters promised three new tracks for players in F1 2021 and the final one has now been delivered.
The Jeddah circuit will host the first Saudi Arabia Grand Prix in December and we can't wait to try it out.
Update 1.13, which contains both the Jeddah circuit and the F2 2021 update, is now live so get it downloading!
This update also removes the special white Red Bull livery that players have been using for the past month.
2021 F2 update
Along with the Jeddah circuit, Codies has promised the updated 2021 Formula 2 roster and cars.
That means players will be able to jump behind the wheel of these exciting and tricky cars and get the chance to relive what has been a wild F2 season.
2021 F2 drivers and teams
There are eleven teams in Formula 2 this year, which makes a total of 22 drivers. These include the driver who finished fourth overall in 2020, Robert Shwartzman, Red Bull Juniors Jehan Daruvalu, Juri Vips, and Liam Lawson, as well as F3 champion Oscar Piastri.
Here is the full grid you can expect to see when this update goes live:
Team | Driver |
---|---|
Prema | Robert Shwartzman |
Oscar Piastri | |
UNI-Virtuosi | Guanyu Zhou |
Felipe Drugovich | |
Carlin | Dan Ticktum |
Jehan Daruvala | |

These are the permanent drivers only, so stand-ins like Enzo Fittipaldi won't be in the game in all likelihood.
You may have already raced alongside some of these drivers in your My Team mode, as those around in 2020 are in the driver's market. These drivers will make their way to the single-player modes, but you will still be able to race around with the 2020 drivers even after this update.
As for the car, it is the same as last year's design, as F2 is a spec series and only refreshes its design every three years. The only thing which makes the cars different are the liveries, which will of course be getting an update to the 2021 schemes.

All of the F2 circuits are also Formula 1 tracks, as this series competes during Grand Prix weekends. Of course, though, in F1 2021, you can race the F2 cars around any of the circuits in the game. They don't have to be those which we have seen Formula 2 action this season.
As for the weekend format, it has changed since 2020. There are now three races in an F2 weekend, two sprints on Saturday, and a feature race on Sunday. Friday's qualifying session defines the grid for the Feature, with the top ten reversed for the first Sprint. The second Sprint's grid is the first Sprint's results top ten reversed.
