F1 22 Driver Ratings Update: GOATifi gets rating boost

It's time for another F1 22 Driver Ratings update in F1 22!

Codemasters has crunched the numbers from all the action up to and including the Japanese Grand Prix.

Who is up and who is down? Let's see!

F1 22 Driver Ratings explained

As always, the Formula 1 game ratings are broken into four categories: Experience, Racecraft, Awareness, and Pace.

These rather vague terms cover how many races a competitor has driven, how well they overtake and defend in wheel-to-wheel racing, their ability to keep the car out of the barrier and stay out of the stewards' room, and of course their one-lap speed.

Latifi going up

He might be heading to IndyCar in 2023 and still be the lowest-rated F1 driver in F1 22, but the GOAT got a ratings boost!

After scoring his first points of the season in the rain-soaked Suzuka race he's gone up two and is now on a 69 Rating, with a +3 on his Racecraft doing most of the heavy lifting.

Checo rising

As the F1 paddock heads to his native Mexico, Sergio Perez is getting a +1 to his rating and now sits on 88.

his Pace bumped up by two thanks to his stellar drive in Singapore, and even though his Awareness dropped by one he's still on the small list of players going up.

Disliked by Pierre Gasly

The Frenchman is heading to Alpine next season and is ending his time with AlphaTauri on a sour note as their performance drops away.

Gasly gets a -1 to just 82 as he sees his Racecraft drop by three and his awareness drop by one.
