F1 22 is fast approaching. In less than a week, those who preordered the Champions Edition will have access to Codeasmters’ latest F1 title.
This year’s F1 game sees big changes to the car handling, along with new Broadcast modes and F1 Life. In another first for the series, F1 22 will have a custom soundtrack for the first time in the series.
33 artists across 13 nations
With F1 22 aiming to attract a broader audience, this is a direct result of EA acquiring Codemasters as EA Sports titles have custom soundtracks featuring mainstream artists.
F1 22’s soundtrack features a mix of electric dance music tracks from 33 global artists representing 13 nations, ranging from Italy’s Meduza and UK’s Charli XCX to Australia’s Mall Grab and Grammy winner Diplo. There are also collaborations like RL Grime & Baauer, Jacknife & The Bloody Beetroots and BRUX ft Kimbra.
“We wanted the very first EA Sports F1 soundtrack to heighten the rush players can experience from the pinnacle of motorsports,” said Steve Schnur, President of Music at Electronic Arts.
“The 33 artists from 13 nations represent the defining talents of Electronic music, reflect the new era of Formula 1, and deliver a soundtrack that accelerates through the curves via the diversity, velocity and unpredictability of unrivalled collaborations."
