Ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix, Codemasters has released a new F1 22 VR gameplay video.

F1 22 VR gameplay video showcases Canada Grand Prix

For the first time in the series’ history, F1 22 will support VR on PC, offering a more immersive and intense racing experience. Captured in VR, the gameplay video gives us a tour of the 4.361-km Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal with Lance Stroll behind the wheel of the Aston Martin AMR22.

“VR revolutionises F1 22 on PC and takes the race weekend to an entirely new level,” said Lee Mather, F1® Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.

"From the claustrophobia of sitting in the cockpit to the intensity of lights out as 20 cars accelerate towards the first corner. This is as close to Formula 1 racing as you can get without being on the actual grid.”

Available for F1, F2, and supercars in F1 Life, players can experience VR starting in the garage watching the team at work before heading to the grid.

Playing F1 22 in VR will increase the intense sense of speed while fighting for position as well as the scale of the environment. Drivers can also move their head to look at the apex when approaching a corner and admire detailed cockpits and environments.
