After much waiting and anticipation, Codemasters is finally taking the covers off F1 23. The first teaser, along with a tweak in branding to the official Twitter page, has given us a hint of what is to come.
The first trailer is set to drop soon, but what does the latest teaser tell us? Let's take a look!
Welcome to Konnersport Racing
The teaser, on Twitter at least, shows off a tease for a new team on the F1 grid, Konnersport Racing. While the name is new to us, there is a familiar sponsor plastered all over the car.
Butler Global... This hints that our old enemy from F1 2019 Devon Butler is back once again to try and stop us from claiming ultimate glory.
It looks like this confirms that Braking Point is returning to F1 23, and perhaps with a new team on the grid run by Butler rather than using him as a driver.
After the success of F1 2021's story mode, this looks like being a wonderful new direction for the narrative. Whether we will be racing with Aiden Jackson, who's #89 flashes on the screen in the Twitter video, remains to be seen but all signs point to this year's story being a continuation of F1 2021's, rather than a new beginning.
When does the full trailer drop?
EA and Codemasters has finally put an end to the speculation and given us an F1 23 trailer date. The first trailer will arrive on Friday 28 April at 4pm BST. That's 8am PDT, 11am EDT, and 5pm CEST.
We will likely get a trailer focused on Braking Point which hopefully gives us a look at the release date. Players should expect pre-orders to go live as soon as the trailer drops!
