The new F1 23 summer break update is here! The Formula 1 season may be on a four-week hiatus until the end of the month, but EA and Codemasters are here with new content through this time.
There's a new livery for the Alfa Romeo team as well as a new scenario mode to enjoy this week. How do you get this update, though? And how long will you have to claim it?

F1 23 Summer Break Update
It's fair to say that Codemasters have been busy this week so far. Codies have set Update 1.09 live, which includes balancing changes for F1 World.
While the 1.09 patch has introduced fixes and general quality of life improvements, this update in summer break content is very welcome.
It all centres around a race at Portugal's Portimao Circuit, where you're playing as Valtteri Bottas. You'll be in the new KICK Livery Alfa Romeo and need to make the most of slick tyres on a drying track.
This scenario will be available all this week (7th - 13th August) and can be found by the following path: F1 World > Play > Solo & Multiplayer > Scenario.
F1 Replay: Australia
But wait, there's more! To make up for lost time when F1 23 wasn't out earlier in the season, we're rewinding to the Australian Grand Prix. In the third round of the 2023 Formula 1 season, George Russell looked like getting a great result.
The Mercedes driver started in second place and even led the race around Albert Park in the early stages. However, an engine failure forced him to retire just 17 laps into the 58-lap race.
You can re-write history thanks to F1 Rewind though, but holding off the imperious Max Verstappen in Melbourne will be very tough. If you want to try your hand at this challenge, you can head to this part of the game:
F1 World > Play > Solo & Multiplayer > F1 Replay
What's next?
You're probably wondering what's in store next for F1 23 and its F1 World content? Well, we've got almost three weeks until the next Grand Prix in the Netherlands.
Zandvoort will host the first round after the summer break has concluded, so we're pretty sure there will be a third and final summer break update. There's a week gap between 14th and 21st August, so that's perfect for an update.
The week of content for 15th to 21st August will probably centre around a grand prix that's not on the calendar this season and another race that we had earlier in the season.
So, we're going to guess there will be a scenario taking place in either France or China, as both of these tracks are in F1 23 as legacy circuits. As for the F1 Rewind, we're expecting this to be at the Baku Street Circuit, Azerbaijan.
The rewind will probably be one where you have to try and hold off both Red Bull cars as Charles Leclerc after claiming pole position. No easy task, but these situations never are!
