Despite F1 24 being around the corner, F1 23 has received a surprise patch update. While the new patch update doesn’t add any new content, it fixes a longstanding issue with Abu Dhabi. Let’s look at the patch notes to find out what’s new in update 1.21.
Out now on all platforms, update 1.21 smooths out sections of Abu Dhabi that were previously uneven. F1 23 players have been complaining about this issue, with one Reddit user saying it felt like you were driving over speed bumps.
In addition, the update also fixes a bug where the Hotload Menu always showed Car Performance as realistic when it was set to Equal while also improving the game’s stability.

Although F1 24 isn’t out yet, those who pre-ordered the Champions Edition can get access to the Williams Racing FW46 and Haas VF-24 livery in F1 23 ahead of F1 24’s release on May 31.
F1 24 introduces a new career mode and significant handling changes, but some fans will likely wait until the price goes down and continue playing F1 23, so it’s good to see that Codemasters is continuing to support last year’s game with fixes responding to community feedback.
