F1 24 has been out for a couple of weeks, with things just starting to smooth out on the grid. With the handling and main bugs ironed out, the focus has turned to adding new content.
F1 24's first post-launch content has been revealed, putting the spotlight on two of the most popular drivers on the grid.
Seasonal racing
F1 24’s post-launch live service content will feature multiple seasons. Each season will have its own theme, celebrating the best and brightest on the Formula 1 grid or commemorating a historical event in the sport.
F1 24’s challenge content will be mainly Challenge Careers and F1 World Event Series. These will put players in the racing boots of their favorite drivers to live out their F1 dream.
Pro Challenges will also return from F1 23. Pro Challenges saw players take on a chosen F1 driver. The goal was to beat their time around a specific track, with rewards given to those who achieved success.
Rewards are up for grabs in all of these events. These will range from car liveries and race suits to helmet designs and character emotes.
The first post-launch live service content has been revealed for F1 24, with Season 1 focusing on two fan-favorite drivers.
Modern day heroes
F1 24's first post-launch season brings a new Challenge Career and Event Series in F1 World. This season, titled Modern Day Heroes, will feature Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso.
Leclerc takes center stage in the first post-launch Challenge Career. Fans can climb into the Monagasque’s Ferrari for a condensed version of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Four weekly episodes of three races per episode allow fans to live out Leclerc’s racing legacy. This follows the previous Challenge Career starring three-time world champion and EA Sports ambassador Max Verstappen.
As for the Event Series, the ever-popular Fernando Alonso is the star of the show. Players can travel back through Alonso's career, revisiting some of the Spaniard’s most iconic racing moments. Fans can therefore expect to recreate some incredible overtakes carried out by the two-time world champion.
F1 24 Season 1 roadmap
Codemasters has revealed the full roadmap for Season 1. Modern Day Heroes dominates the schedule, with the Leclerc Challenge Career available until June 28.
The Alonso Event Series will then be available via F1 World in July. This is on top of the Fanzone events taking place each race week. With a triple header on the horizon, fans need to start pick their favorite driver and team.
"We have redesigned our live service offering fans more ways to engage with the exhilarating world of Formula 1 and connect with players from around the world," said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. "By celebrating both current drivers and legendary moments, we aim to offer a richer experience that keeps the thrill of F1 alive all year round."
