It's the end of the road for F1 24 as EA SPORTS and Codemasters roll out the sixth and final tailor-made season.

This milestone not only drops new content but also hints at where the franchise is going from here.

While F1 24 will still receive minor updates, the structured seasonal content cycle that has kept the game evolving is coming to an end. The v1.18 patch drops Season 6, the last big update for F1 24. Players will have access to new customization sets through the Podium Pass and in-game shop, as well as six fresh F1 World Events inspired by highlights from the 2024 Formula 1 season.

One of the highlights includes the chance to revisit Daniel Ricciardo's emotional farewell race at the Singapore Grand Prix. Other moments of note include Zhou Guanyu achieving his first points in Qatar, George Russell's ambitious one-stop strategy (which ended with a disqualification), and Yuki Tsunoda's notable qualifying performance in Brazil. These five-lap challenges put you in the middle of the season's best action.

On top of these changes, the update also sharpens the visuals and polishes gameplay. While this marks the end of tailor-made seasonal content, F1 24 isn't being abandoned entirely. Fan Zones and Podium Pass updates will keep coming every eight weeks, and past events will still rotate in. However, major new content drops are no longer part of the roadmap.

The decision to wind down seasonal updates likely reflects a shift in focus towards the next installment in the franchise, F1 25. With EA holding onto the F1 license until at least 2025 and possibly extending for another two years based on contract terms, the future of the series is definitely up for debate.

EA and Codemasters remain dominant forces in F1 gaming, but speculation exists over whether another developer might eventually take over.

Season 6 might be ending, but it's just the beginning of something new for F1 24's franchise, with fans eagerly waiting for more.
