F1 25 Update

The latest F1 25 update, version v1.13, has just rolled out, and while it doesn't introduce any headline-driving features, it delivers exactly what players have been asking for: a polished, stable, and expanded hardware compatibility.

Codemasters and EA Sports have continued their steady push to refine F1 25 based on community feedback, addressing persistent save bugs, replay issues, and peripheral support gaps. F1 25 update 1.13 aims to fix long-standing annoyances and enhance reliability across modes.

Here's a breakdown of what's changed:

Improved Career Mode Reliability

The most frustrating bug in F1 25 was the mid-session save issue, which caused players to lose their save progress, especially when they were late in the season. Update 1.13 finally fixes that, allowing players to enjoy the game without worrying about their achievements and career progress being lost.

The patch also resolves problems preventing players from saving replays and highlights when the player's username included a non-Unicode character.

Visual and Team Updates

Update 1.13 introduced plenty of visual improvements to cars, with the McLaren, Aston Martin, and Sauber car models receiving updates that ensure their sports design and sponsors are accurate.

But that's not all, as the Red Bull cars were experiencing an issue that was preventing the front and rear wing components from rendering correctly, which has been fixed.

The F2 2025 roster has also received some attention, as it now features updated team colors and entire compounds, along with a new "25" indicator to indicate lap times from the most recent season on Time Trial leaderboards.

Expanded Wheel and Pedal Support

Sim racers will be especially pleased with this update. v1.13 adds calibration for feedback and overall performance on PCs and consoles by adding official support for a number of high-end peripherals. Supported devices now include:

  • Thrustmaster T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PC, Xbox, PS5)
  • Logitech RS50 & RS Pedals (PC, Xbox, PS5)
  • Cammus CP5 (PC)
  • Nacon Revosim RS PURE (PC, Xbox)

These additions ensure broader plug-and-play functionality, especially for players running custom rigs.

AI and Gameplay Fixes

While no handling or physics tweaks were introduced, Codemasters refined F2 pit logic, and AI drivers will be able to choose the correct tire compounds during changing weather conditions. This minor but significant adjustment helps keep things realistic during unexpected races.

UI and Stability Improvements

The patch concludes with a number of backend and user interface enhancements that increase responsiveness and reliability in all modes.
