The F1 Manager series burst onto the scene in 2022 with huge promise but has struggled to live up to the expectations of players, now it seems the series is finished. This is according to a Reddit post that seems to stem from an investor analysis of Frontier Developments and states Frontier will not release F1 Manager 2025.

We have requested comment from Frontier regarding this rumor and are awaiting an official response, so we cannot confirm its validity at this time.

There's no doubt that Frontier has lost money with F1 Manager. In fact, with the dismal sales of F1 Manager 2023, Frontier's own annual report for the year ending 31 May 2024 stated: "The Group recognised total impairment losses of £18.1 million during FY23. £15.0 million related to the F1® Manager Franchise due to the financial performance of F1® Manager 2022 (released in August 2022) and F1® Manager 2023 (released in July 2023)."

The F1 Manager series seemed to start well in 2022 but ran into hot water when Frontier announced they were dropping support for the game after just a few months to move on to the release of F1 Manager 2023. This soured the player base immediately, who had accepted the bugs and problems in the first title with the expectation of post-launch support correcting the issues. Frontier rowed back from this move, but the damage was already done.

The sales for F1 Manager 2023 were dramatically worse than the first game and failed to fully bounce back for 2024 despite a lower price point.

Things had seemed to improve for F1 Manager though. 2024's game was largely well-received and just received Update 1.9 which added new features to the game and stoked excitement in the community. If this rumor is true, that update may well have been the new features that had already been created for next year's now-defunct release.
