After a long wait, the launch of Forza Horizon 5 finally arrived last week! There is a lot to sink your teeth into in the Mexican map available, but how do you change the seasons in-game? We've got everything you need to know right here!
What are seasons in Horizon 5?
Although there are a huge variety of environments to explore, seasons aren't quite what you think they are in Horizon 5. Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter all define different weather conditions in Horizon 5. Horizon 5 changes its season every week, with the conditions on the road defining how you need to drive change with them.
Seasons in Forza are similar to seasons in Fortnite and Fall Guys, they mainly refer to the changes in events and rewards. You can't change the season manually; it's dictated via the time of the day and week. Every Thursday at 14:30 GMT, the season is changed automatically for you.
However, via the Creative Hub, you can change which season your event takes place in. So, even with it being Winter outside, your race can take place in Summer if you choose.
If you're used to the way the season changes in Horizon 4 though, you'll be in for a shock in Horizon 5. Even if it's Winter, the beaches won't be covered in snow and the mountains will always have some snow at their peaks. There's also a Dry and Wet season as well, which defines how likely sandstorms and tropical thunderstorms are to hit.
