Is Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox One?

Forza Horizon 5 is on the way!

The new game was finally confirmed at E3 2021 and it looks to be even bigger and better than it’s extremely popular predecessor.

But while we're all aware by now that the game will be coming to the Xbox Series X|S, will Xbox One gamers be able to enjoy the open-world racer, too?

Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox One

Good news!

Horizon 5 will also be coming to both Xbox One and PC, the latter via Steam or the Microsoft Store. As a Microsoft Play Anywhere title and with Xbox Smart Delivery, paying the £54.99 price for the base version gets you a game that will run on your PC and Xbox, with cross-saving.

This means that you can jump between your PC and Xbox consoles playing Forza Horizon 5 at no extra cost, with your cloud save up to date across all of your machines!

Of course, there's been no mention of how the game will perform on the Xbox One. At the very least, the visuals will be a downgrade from the Xbox Series X/S, since the console lacks the same level of processing power. Ray-tracing will almost certainly be unavailable, too.
