After months of silence and speculation, Forza Horizon 5’s long-awaited second expansion has finally been revealed following the Hot Wheels Expansion. Thankfully, it’s not another Lego expansion. Get ready to rally in the Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure expansion.
Launching in March, the second Forza Horizon 5 expansion adds ten off-road vehicles, a new location, and a new rally campaign.
New location: Welcome to Sierra Nueva
Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure challenges you to drive through tricky dirt roads and asphalt stages as fast as possible with the help of your co-driver guiding you.
The second expansion takes you to Sierra Nueva, a new location full of steep inclines, dusty trails and deformable sand roads in Forza Horizon 5's most extreme events yet.
According to Playground Games, Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure features the largest number of racing events of any Horizon expansion.
Biohomes ranging from an abandoned quarry and the town of Pueblo Artza to an "entirely smashable Palm Forest" filled with deformable trees will provide a variety of driving experiences and locations to explore.
The campaign sees you join three rally teams, each representing a different facet of rallying whether it’s asphalt, dirt, or challenging night rallying.
If you don't enjoy point-to-point time trial rallies, the entire campaign can be played in Horizon Race mode, which pits you against other cars on the stage Sega Rally-style.
New EventLab props will allow you to create courses inspired by Horizon Rally events with objects including branded barriers, flags and civilian vehicles.
Horizon Rally events feature new HUD elements including a mini leaderboard showing your position against other drivers and icons representing your co-driver's pace notes.
A notification also pops up which appears at each timed split-gate to show whether you have improved, gained or lost positions and the driving line can be disabled for a more challenging experience.
New EventLab props including branded barriers, flags and civilian vehicles will allow you to build new races inspired by Horizon Rally events.
