With the American Automotive celebration wrapping up, the attention switches to what's next in Forza Horizon 5. The snow is coming to Mexico, with the Horizon Festival becoming a Winter Wonderland.
Along with Forza Motorsport Update 3, we got our first look at the Winter Wonderland Festival during December's Forza Monthly stream. Here we saw the new cars, decorations, and giveaways coming in Forza Horizon 5's Winter Wonderland.
Automotive Wonderland
Snow is falling in Mexico in Forza Horizon 5's Winter Wonderland. The Horizon Stadium has been given a winter makeover, with the snowman collectible returning to the Horizon Festival during Autumn.
Winter Wonderland also brings new cars to Forza Horizon 5, with a range of new wheels to take for a spin around Mexico. Four new cars can be unlocked through the festival playlist challenges.
One of the standout cars is undoubtedly the 2009 Lotus 2-Eleven. This tiny track master is lightning quick off the line, with its supercharged 1.8-litre engine seeing it reach 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds.
You'll be able to unlock the Lotus 2-Eleven in Winter Wonderland's Summer playlist. Other reward cars up for grabs include the 2019 Morgan Aero GT, 2022 Subaru BRZ, and 2000 Lotus 340R.
These will be available during the Autumn, Winter, and Spring playlists respectively.
Winter Autoshow
Four new cars are also coming to the Horiozn Autoshow as part of Winter Wonderland. From 5 December, you'll be able to acquire these brand-new wheels for your car collections. It's a real retro theme this month, with the cars available coming from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
Kicking things off is the 1958 Aston Martin DBR1. This legend of a car is a true racing champion, winning the Nurburgring 1000km race and even competing at Le Mans. Then there's the 1953 Jaguar C-Type, a two-time Le Mans winner and iconic racing car.
Next up is the 1970 Ferrari 512 S. Only 25 of these racing machines were built, in order for the car to compete in the 1970 World Sportscar Championship. This rare beast therefore is the perfect addition to any garage.
Finally, we have the 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6. Winning at Monza, Spa, Daytona, and the Nurburgring, the Porsche was a real winner when needed most. The Carrera goes down as one of Porsche's most legendary cars, and now it could be yours, for the right price of course.
Fast X Car Pack
Alongside this month's reward cars, there's also the Fast X Car Pack available for players. Featuring five cars from the movie Fast X, there's a bit of everything for you to drive, including Dominic Toretto's iconic 1970 Dodge Charger Fast X.
We've included the full list of cars coming in the Fast X Car Pack below:
- 1970 Dodge Charger Fast X
- 1966 Impala Super Sport 'Fast X'
- 1973 Datsun 240Z 'Fast X'
- 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody 'Fast X'
- 2022 Flip Car 2.0 'Fast X'
The Fast X Car Pack will be released as a standalone DLC, meaning it's not included in the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass. Pricing for the Fast X Car Pack is yet to be confirmed.
Secret Santa returns
With Christmas just around the corner, Winter Wonderland sees a fan-favourite return to the Horizon Festival. Secret Santa is back, with two new cars available for the community to unlock by being generous.
From 5 December, you can fill a generosity meter by gifting cars to other players. Filling the meter to 50% will reward players with the 2022 Gordon Murray Automotive T.50. This incredible car looks striking with its gorgeous scissor doors.
Filling the meter to 100% however, will unlock a mysterious bonus car for the community. This will have to be a pretty special set of wheels to top the T.50, so let's hope the Forza Horizon community is feeling generous this winter.
Release date
