With players losing career progress and, in some cases, unable to access the game due to corrupt save files, Forza Motorsport has had a rocky launch. It’s not only Forza Motorsport players who are having issues though. Forza Horizon 5 players are reporting they can’t access the new Super Speed Car Pack, forcing Playground Games to delay the DLC.
Forza Horizon 5's Super Speed Car Pack DLC not working
Originally set for release yesterday, 10 October adds four track-focused cars: the 2022 Volkswagen Golf R, 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, 2020 KTM X-Bow GT2, and 2019 Elemental RP1.
The DLC is sold separately outside the car pack. Retailing for £3.99/$4.99, the Super Car Pack DLC is available to download on Xbox and PC. But players who downloaded the pack are finding the cars aren’t appearing.
New release date
These issues have prompted Playground Games to delay the Super Speed Car Pack’s release by a few days. It will now launch on 12 October alongside the Dia de Muertos update, two days later than planned.
“The delay has been caused by an issue on our backend which will be resolved with the Season change,” a post on the Forza Support account reads. “We apologise for the inconvenience caused, thank you for your patience.”
Forza Horizon 5’s Super Speed Car Pack issue comes amid Forza Motorsport players encountering a spate of problems at launch.
A game-breaking bug is causing some players to get stuck on a loading screen. Restarting the game then causes players to lose career save progress. Worse still, this glitch is also corrupting save files for some unlucky players.
PC players are also finding the livery editor is maxing out their graphics cards. We’re hoping these issues will be resolved in a day one patch, which is yet to arrive at the time of writing.
