We were given a sneak peek into the upcoming Forza Motorsport in the Summer and the reveal trailer has got us very excited.
The Xbox Series X title will mark Turn 10’s first foray into the next generation of consoles. Forza has always had a huge selection of tracks to choose from, with the series adding more with each iteration of the game.
Forza Motorsport 7 had loads of racing venues on offer, but which new ones could be included in the next game?
We’ve thought of five circuits that we’d love to see in Forza Motorsport!
Circuit de Monaco
The Monaco Grand Prix forms a third of motorsport’s triple crown and is one of the most challenging racing circuits to master in the world.
The Circuit de Monaco is situated in the picturesque city-state of Monaco and has been used for almost 100 years!
Every corner has a story and is steeped in history, it’s a magical venue. It’s tight and twisty, extremely bumpy and has no room for error. Barriers line either side of the track around the entire length of the circuit.
Overtaking is very difficult but moves are possible, especially in lower performance and smaller cars. There are a few alternative configurations too, which will spice things up. This includes the shorter Formula E circuit, which misses out the middle section of the lap.
Fuji, Japan
A surprising omission from Forza 7’s library of circuits is Japan’s Fuji Speedway. Fuji has hosted a myriad of racing series, including Super GT, Super Formula, WEC and Formula 1, it’s a hugely impressive circuit.
With the iconic Mount Fuji as its backdrop as well, it’s a no-brainer to include Fuji in Forza Motorsport. Corners such as the 100R and Netz are always a challenge to drive, being quick here isn’t easy.
With one of the longest straights of any circuit in the world too, passing isn’t a problem around here.
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Canada
Montreal’s famous Circuit Gilles Villeneuve encapsulates both a high-speed track and a street circuit within its layout. The lap is very fast, with the multiple long straights being separated by several chicanes.
Passing won’t be an issue around here and the setting in which it’s located is beautiful. The track runs adjacent to the Ile Notre-Dame, which was used during the 1978 Summer Olympic Games.
There currently aren’t any Canadian tracks on Forza 7, so Gilles Villeneuve would add yet more variety to the collection.
Algarve International Circuit, Portugal
A circuit that has gone under the radar since its construction 12 years ago is Portugal’s Algarve International. Portimao is firmly on the map now though, with Formula 1 having travelled to this track for the Portuguese GP.
It’s a modern, purpose-built facility and a stunning lap to behold. High-speed corners, elevation changes, and plenty of opportunities to pass, it’s a top-quality racing track.
Algarve is also not available on the official F1 game, so it’d be a coup for Forza to include this circuit in its roster.
Interlagos, Brazil
Formula 1 fans rejoiced after the news that Brazil is keeping its Interlagos circuit until at least 2025. The Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace is a legendary racing venue, a real fan and driver favourite.
There are also currently no circuits from South America in the Forza track list, so for variety’s sake, this is a great option.
The Sao Paulo circuit has massive elevation changes, fast, flowing corners that are a real challenge. Some corners’ apexes are completely blind to the driver, you feel your way around a lap here.
Forza Motorsport Release Date
There is currently no official release date for Forza Motorsport.
We expect it to release on Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2021.
