With Forza Motorsport just over two months away, Turn 10 has confirmed one of the tracks returning to the roster. Last weekend, Turn 10 shared a gameplay clip on Twitter, quietly confirming a previously unannounced track for Forza Motorsport.
This US location will be a familiar but welcome inclusion for Forza Motorsport veterans.
Update: Since confirming the return of Road America, Turn 10 has revealed a brand new fictional circuit called Eaglerock Speedway - you can find out more here.
Road America returning to Forza Motorsport
Shared on the official Forza Motorsport Twitter page, the short gameplay clip confirms that Road America will be one of the launch-day locations. It shows the 2023 #01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R cover car racing around Road America. The clip coincides with the real-life IMSA WeatherTech Series race at the same location last weekend.
Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Road America featured in Forza Motorsport 7, so it isn’t too surprising to see the circuit return in Forza Motorsport. Thanks to Forza Motorsport’s physically-based lighting effects and accurate laser scanning, Road America will look and feel more realistic than ever before.
Forza Motorsport track list
At launch, Forza Motorsport will feature 20 global tracks from around the world with multiple locations. That’s significantly less than Forza Motorsport 7’s 30 locations. Creative Director Chris Esaki confirmed in a recent Forza Monthly stream this is because Turn 10 is focusing on circuit racing.
Because of this, Turn 10 has removed some of the fantasy tracks from previous games. According to Esaki, these circuits don’t represent Turn 10’s vision for a “clean, competitive racing experience.”
Although they won’t be available at launch, Esaki hinted that missing tracks from previous games may return to Forza Motorsport in future updates.
Five locations are new to Forza Motorsport, including the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa and the fictional high-speed Grand Prix circuit set in Japan.
With Road America confirmed, Turn 10 has revealed 13 of the 20 tracks in Forza Motorsport. Other confirmed tracks include fan-favourites like Laguna Seca, Maple Factory, and Spa-Francorchamps. You can view the full Forza Motorsport track list here.
One track yet to be confirmed is the demanding Nurburgring Nordschleife, which has been in every Forza Motorsport game since Forza Motorsport 3.
Turn 10 will reveal more tracks between now and Forza Motorsport’s launch on 10 October. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition will get five days of early access on PC and Xbox Series X|S starting on 5 October.
