It’s been a long wait, but we’re just one week away from the release of Gran Turismo 7. Our excitement levels are reaching fever pitch, but you’ll have to wait until next week to find out our verdict on this year’s most hotly anticipated racing game.
If you’ve pre-ordered GT7 digitally, you can start pre-loading the game right now.
Preload Gran Turismo 7 ready for launch
As of today (25 February), anyone who pre-ordered GT7 on PS4 or PS5 can start pre-loading the game right now. This means you can save some time and get the game installed ready for next week’s launch.
File size
You may want to clear some hard drive space because GT7 is a gargantuan game. Sony has confirmed GT7's file size will be 110 GB on launch day. However, the file size will inevitably increase with updates.
GT7’s file size is nearly three times larger than GT Sport was at launch. Since GT Sport launched in 2017, the file size has increased to around 100 GB with updates. With updates and new content planned for the next few years, we won’t be surprised if GT7’s file size increases to around 150 GB over time.
As it’s such a huge game, GT7 will take a long time to install. Preloading the game means you’ll be ready to race on launch day as soon as the game is available.
