Gran Turismo 7 update 1.24 addresses progression issue

One week after Gran Turismo 7 update 1.23 added three new cars including the record-breaking Volkswagen ID.R time attack EV, a hotfix has been deployed. The Gran Turismo 7 update 1.24 patch notes are out, so let’s find out what the update contains.

Gran Turismo 7 update 1.24 patch notes

Compared to last week’s substantial update, Gran Turismo update 1.24 is a small hotfix. Specifically, the update fixes an issue that would cause the game to crash on the Rewards and Rating screen of certain Race Events.

Other Improvements and Adjustments

Application Error/Progression Blocker

  • Fixed an issue wherein the application would crash on the Rewards and Rating screen of certain Race Events, preventing any further progression.

And that’s it. There are no new cars or quality of life improvements as the hotfix was released to specifically fix this issue.

Although this is a small update, the servers were shut down for maintenance for two hours while the update was implemented. That's why features like Sport Mode were inaccessible during this time.

Update 1.23 adds three new cars

By contrast, last week’s update 1.23 added a slew of new content. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, update 1.23 adds three new cars to the GT7’s roster.

These include the record-breaking Volkswagen ID.R as well as the Porsche Vision GT Spyder and Nissan Silvia K's Type S (S14) ’94. The update also adds a new GT Café Menu Book as well as four new World Circuits events.

GT7’s next content update is expected to arrive later this month and will likely add another three cars. We’re hoping the next update will also add new tracks as well as the long-promised option to sell cars in garages.
