After Kazunori Yamauchi's Twitter teaser last weekend, Polyphony Digital has revealed what players can look forward to in tomorrowās Gran Turismo 7 October update. Gran Turismo 7 will add four new cars and two new Scapes locations.
Four new cars coming to Gran Turismo 7 tomorrow
Arriving a week earlier than usual, Gran Turismo 7 update 1.25 will add four new cars. 1980 Maserati Merak SS.
Styled by Italdesignās Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Merak is a mid-engine Italian sports car. Closely related to the Maserati Bora, the Merak is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 instead of the Boraās 4.7-litre V8.
Other cars coming in Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.25 include the 1973 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110), Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 '18, and Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) '22.
Yes, you counted correctly: there are four new cars coming in tomorrowās update instead of three like in most updates.
Whether we needed another Mazda MX-5 in GT7ās car roster is questionable, but itās an eclectic selection nonetheless.
Additionally, Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.25 will add two new Scapes locations: Autumn Leaves and Whitby.
The latter is set in Yorkshire and the Humber, UK, while the former is set based on Nishiazuma Sky Valley, a 17.8-kilometre road in Fukushima, Japan. Perhaps this is paving the way for the return of Autumn Ring in GT7?
We may also get some new GT CafƩ Menus and World Circuits events, but the lack of new tracks in the update is disappointing.
Release date
As with all GT7 updates, the servers will be offline tomorrow between 07:00 ā 09:00 BST and 06:00 ā 08:00 UTC on 20 October. This means Gran Turismo Update 1.25 will go live after 9am BST/ 8am UTC tomorrow, 20 October.
Weāll find out more when the Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.25 patch notes are published tomorrow.
