In a post on X, Yamauchi shared silhouettes of three cars heading to GT7 this week in update 1.43. Rather than a static image like usual, the cars are shown in a slick video animation. The models aren't confirmed yet, inviting fans to guess their identities.

The car at the top is clearly a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. GT7 already has the Evolution III, IV, V, VI, and X, but a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it-shot of the number plate confirms it’s an IX, built between 2005 and 2007 before the Evo was discontinued with the tenth-generation model.

At the bottom left, the boxy silhouette appears to resemble a Renault 4. First launched in 1961, the 4 was Renault's response to the ubiquitous Citroen 2CV. Finally, the car on the bottom right has the distinctive shape of an Audi TT. It appears to be the sporty second-generation TTS.

Alongside these three cars, the Aluminium Vision GT from luxury watchmaker Bulgari will be available to all players after being exclusively available to those who bought the accompanying watch.

Expected release date

Update 1.43 will roll out this week according to Yamauchi, but the release date is yet to be confirmed. However, given that GT7 updates are usually released on the last Thursday of the month, we’re expecting update 1.43 to arrive on 29 February. This will be the second GT7 update of 2024 following update 1.42 in January.
