Just a few hours before the Skoda Vision GT's unveiling tonight, PlayStation Poland has accidentally revealed the contents of Gran Turismo 7’s April update early.
Three new cars coming to Gran Turismo 7 this week
Update: Better late than never, Kazunori Yamauchi has broken the silence, posting his usual silohette teaser on X (formerly Twitter) - but we already know the car's identities thanks to a slipup by PlayStation Poland. Yamauchi's post also confirms that update 1.46 will be live tomorrow, April 25.
Kazunori Yamauchi didn’t share his usual silhouette teaser last weekend, but a now-deleted post on the PlayStation Poland Facebook page (thanks GTPlanet) confirms that update 1.46 will add three more cars to GT7’s roster this week.
As expected, Skoda’s Vision GT concept is the headline addition. While we’ll have to wait until the reveal to find out the specs, images on the PlayStation Poland Facebook page reveal the design in multiple colors.
Inspired by the 1957 Skoda 1100 OHC Spider combined with modern styling cues from Skoda’s current design language, Skoda’s Vision GT is a single-seater electric car with a sculpted bonnet and slim arrow-shaped headlights. It could pave the way for more Skoda models to join Gran Turismo 7’s roster, but we’ll have to wait for tonight’s reveal presentation to find out more.
Joining the Skoda Vision GT is the 2024 Afeela Prototype. Showcased at the 2024 CES show earlier this year where it was driven on stage with a DualSense controller, the Afeela is an evolution of Sony’s Vision S concept. It packs two 180kW motors producing a combined (241hp) motors for a combined 482hp.
The Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 completes update 1.46’s car lineup. In contrast to the two electric cars, this classic American muscle car packs a 7.4-liter V8 producing 449 hp. This is the first time the Chevelle has appeared in a Gran Turismo game since GT6 over ten years ago.
Update 1.46 arrives tomorrow
PlayStation Poland also confirmed that update 1.46 will roll out tomorrow, April 25.
No other details were revealed, so we’ll have to wait for an official announcement and the patch notes to find out if there are any gameplay changes or new tracks.
