Players logging into Gran Turismo Sport today after the server maintenance are being treated to an update out of the blue.
That's nothing out of the ordinary, but it's not often that an update is sprung on the fans of GT Sport without some sort of prior information.
So, what could be in it?
Server maintenance & downtime
The official site statement reads:
At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ servers.A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.

That time is 7-9am GMT for UK fans.
Update 1.64 contents
So, what does this new update for the game contain? Does it contain any exciting changes, or, better yet, new content?
So far, unfortunately not. It appears that the update contained a fix for the yellow flag displaying incorrectly in certain situations.
There have also been some BoP changes for three of the Gr. 4 vehicles. These are the F-Type Gr. 4 (now 393 hp and 3,064 lbs), the RC F Gr. 4 (now 404 hp and 3,056 lbs), and the 650S Gr. 4 (now 377 hp and 3,095 lbs).
The update is also very small, thanks to the relatively low number of changes that it actually makes.
Gran Turismo 7
The arrival of Gran Turismo 7 is still on the horizon, although it was recently announced that the release of the game will be delayed until 2022.
So for now, let’s enjoy the announcement trailer from last year!

Fingers crossed we get the game in early 2022, as we can’t wait to get playing!
