GTA 6 Car List: Every Car Confirmed So Far

It’s official: after an agonizing wait, GTA 6 has broken cover, with Rockstar finally releasing the first trailer early after it leaked online. To say that fans are excited is an understatement.

GTA V came out over ten years ago, with players more than ready for their next crime-filled adventure. There have been many memorable vehicles in GTA games over the years, so petrolheads are already wondering what the GTA 6 car list will bring.

Rockstar gave us our first look at GTA 6 (or Grand Theft Auto VI to give it its full name). The first trailer, released in December 2023, introduces new protagonists Lucia and Jason and confirms GTA 6 will be set in a modern-day Vice City. We also get a first look at some of the new and returning vehicles we’ll be driving.

Here's every vehicle confirmed so far in the GTA 6 car list.

Latest news: GTA 6 release window confirmed

Rockstar confirmed that GTA 6 will launch sometime in 2025 last year, but we now have a more specific release window.

While we don't have an exact release date yet, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive confirmed during an earnings call that GTA 6 is set to release in fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, narrowing the release window. A PC release is yet to be confirmed.

GTA 6 trailer reveals returning cars from GTA 5

As expected, the first GTA 6 trailer showed off an assortment of cars we'll be driving in Vice City. One of the most prominent cars in the trailer is the Cheetah, parked on a neon-lit street.

A staple of the series, the Cheetah supercar first appeared in GTA 3. Usually based on a Ferrari, GTA 5's Cheetah was inspired by the Ferrari Enzo. GTA VI's rendition was based on a 1980s Testarossa, harking back to Vice City's Cheetah. It's no coincidence that the Cheetah in the trailer is white, resembling the Testarossa hero car in Miami Vice.

Also returning to GTA 6 is the Comet. Like previous GTA games, the Comet is based on a Porsche 911. GTA 6 brings the Comet up to date with a new design inspired by the current 992-generation Porsche 911. A convertible model is briefly shown in the trailer, likely the Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio from GTA Online.

Two more cars are parked in the same shot. The red supercar appears to be based on a Ferrari California, while the blue sports car looks like a Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray. This seemingly confirms the return of the Grotti Carbonizzare and Invetero Coquette from GTA 5.

Another shot shows a supercar racing down the highway at night. This looks like the Grotti Furia from GTA 5, inspired by the electric Pininfarina Battista.

After this, the trailer cuts to a daytime urban scene, revealing lookalikes of the Chrysler 300, Cadillac Seville SLS, and Chevrolet Suburban. The Chrysler 300 suggests the PMP 600 will return from GTA 4. The Cadillac Seville SLS is another returning car from GTA 5 (Albany Primo Custom), while the Chevrolet Suburban could be a new version of GTA 5's Albany Cavalcade or a new model.

We also see a modified Chevrolet Malibu (GTA 5's Declasse Tulip M-100)
with giant wheels pulling into a customs shop, confirming that car customization will return in GTA 6.

A brief shot of police patrol cars driving past confirms Vice City's police force will drive vehicles based on the Ford Crown Victoria and Ford Police Interceptor Utility.

GTA 6 not only features cars but also a variety of bikes, planes, and boats, allowing you to explore the sights of Vice City by land, sea, and air.

Towards the end of the trailer, we get a montage of social media parody clips. One of them shows a 1980s G-Series Porsche 911, which is possibly the Pfister Comet Retro Custom from GTA 5.

The final prominent vehicle shot features Jason and Lucia sliding a Sabre Turbo around a corner, possibly during a heist getaway. Returning from GTA 5, the Sabre Turbo is based on an Oldsmobile 442 and Buick GSX.

We’re hoping the car handling will be improved in GTA 6. GTA IV’s heavier car handling was divisive but more realistic. It takes skill to drive in GTA IV at high speed compared to GTA V’s arcade-like handling.

The biggest complaint about GTA IV's handling was the 'boat-like' nature when cornering. Cars lean outwards excessivley when turning, potentially causing unstable behavior. Hopefully, GTA 6 can create a nice middle ground between its two predecessors.

GTA 6 car list

As the name suggests, vehicles play a central role in Grand Theft Auto games. A wide variety of vehicles can be stolen, used as getaway cars in heists, or entered in street races, from supercars, muscle cars, and luxury saloons to off-roaders, bikes, and vans.

With a rumored 35-40 hours of story to complete, players will find themselves on the road a lot in GTA 6. Therefore the game will be stacked with different types of vehicles to drive.

At launch, GTA V included over 250 cars, which increased to over 675 with regular GTA Online updates adding new vehicles. Many of these are expected to carry over to GTA 6, though some may only be available in the next iteration of GTA Online.

While none of GTA’s vehicles are licensed since manufacturers don’t want to see their cars used to commit crimes, they are inspired by real-life vehicles. For example, the Banshee in GTA V looks like a Dodge Viper. This will continue in GTA 6, with replicas of real-life cars.

Thanks to last year's leaked gameplay and the trailer, many of GTA 6’s cars are already known. Here is the confirmed GTA 6 car list so far:

It's worth noting, however, that cars seen in the leaked gameplay could be placeholders and may not appear in the final game. Several vehicles spotted in leaked footage are also new in GTA 6 but their names are unknown. For example, a coupe utility resembling a 1970s Ford Ranchero is parked outside a diner during a robbery in the leaked gameplay.

Electric cars already feature in GTA V, with the fictional Coil manufacturer being a parody of Tesla. Given the rapid rise of EVs in the last ten years since GTA V came out, we’re expecting EVs to feature heavily in the GTA 6 car list.

Location: Welcome back to Vice City

GTA 6 returns to Vice City, Rockstar’s version of Miami. While 2002's GTA Vice City was set in the 1980s, GTA 6 is set in the modern day with a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired story starring two new characters, Jason and Lucia. This means most of the vehicles will be contemporary.

From what was shown in the trailer, traffic and crowd density will be a generational leap forward to create a more convincing living and breathing world.

We can’t wait to revisit Vice City's neon-lit streets and sandy beaches in GTA 6's new cars. Away from stealing cars and evading the police, simply taking a long cruise while listening to the radio is a lot of fun in GTA games.

Trailer

Following a leak, Rockstar released the first GTA 6 trailer earlier than planned on 4 December 2023 coinciding with the company's 25th anniversary, giving patient fans a first look at the location, protagonists, and vehicles.

You can watch the first GTA 6 trailer below:

Release date

GTA 6's release date is yet to be confirmed, but the trailer confirms it will arrive in 2025. Since then, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in Fall 2025.

There are rumors, however, that this date may be pushed back as far as early 2026 due to delays in development.

As one of the most anticipated games of all time, fans might not be happy to see the game pushed back by almost a year. This is reportedly only an option as a last resort, though, so we could instead see the launch pushed back by only a few months.

As for platforms, Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and skip the last-generation PS4 and Xbox One. This isn't surprising as the last-gen consoles would hold back a game of this scale. There's no word on a PC yet, but a port will likely follow after the initial release going on past entries.
