- Primary Subject: Hot Wheels Infinite Rush.
- Key Update: The game marks a major franchise pivot, moving away from closed-circuit tracks to four distinct, freely explorable islands.
- Status: Launching September 24, 2026.
- Last Verified: June 22, 2026
- Quick Answer: Hot Wheels Infinite Rush entry ditches the menu-based racing loop for a proper open world. With over 150 vehicles categorized into four specialized classes, players can explore themed islands, tackle stunt challenges, and build custom tracks directly into the game's environment.
The familiar bright-orange tracks are now extending beyond the loops as Hot Wheels Infinite Rush takes the series to an open-world playground.
This is the third toy racer by Milestone, and they're not calling it Hot Wheels Unleashed 3 or anything along those lines to reflect the shift from the previous titles.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Release Date

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will release on September 24, 2026. Players who pre-purchase the Ultimate Edition can play the game three days early.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Platforms
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC.
The game is available on pretty much all major platforms, including handhelds.
While it's not Deck Verified yet, given that it is available on Steam and other handhelds, you should most likely be able to run the game fine on Steam Deck as well.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Open-World & Gameplay Details

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is bringing the toy racer to open-world for the first time. The open world will have four islands that you can skyjump between, each with its own distinctive atmosphere.
Each island will have its own Rush Master. They're like the ultimate bosses who rule over the area. Defeating them should be your primary goal, and that means it won't be easy.
You'll have to first see through the regular open-world busy work to get a chance to square off with them. Tidy rewards will be handed out for defeating them, including the car they drive.
As for the activities in the open world, you will find many of the modern staples scattered around.
Regular races, drift, destruction, time trials, collectables, photo challenges, and so on. Outside of the single-player fun, there will be plenty of multiplayer as well, including split-screen co-op.
Of course, there is no Hot Wheels without Track Builder.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush's track creator will allow you to "attach modules to the ground, build around buildings, or race above the city, weaving around towering skyscrapers."
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Cars

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will have 150 vehicles, divided into four classes, each with their own special features.
Versatiles, Titans, Drifters, and Speeders are the four classes. Not exactly hard to guess what these will do based on their names.
While we do not have a full list of all 150 vehicles, you can spot plenty of them in the promotional materials. Iconic cars from the series, such as Deora II Wave Ripper and the Teku Bassline from the last game, can be seen.
Real-life cars will be present in-game too. Ferrari is officially set to make its Hot Wheels game debut with Infinite Rush.
The Ferrari Expansion Pack will be available with the Ultimate Edition of the game.
We will post the full vehicle list once it's confirmed.
