In most arcade racers, boost starts are the best way to get in front of the pack at the start of a race. This is also the case in Fortnite Rocket Racing, a new wacky arcade racer from the makers of Rocket League. Our guide will show you how to boost start in Rocket Racing to get the perfect launch in every race.
How to boost start in Rocket Racing
Boost starting in Rocket Racing is vital if you want to get ahead of the competition quickly. This is a common tactic in kart racers like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Here’s how to boost start in Rocket Racing.
Before each race, you’ll see a countdown. After the countdown ends, three red lights will appear on-screen followed by a green light. To do a boost start, hold down the accelerator just before the green light appears. Time it right, and you’ll rocket ahead of the pack at the start of the race.
You’ll know if you were successful because the game shows a % below the starting lights showing how close you were to a perfect boost start. Getting a 100% perfect boost start may take practice but will give you a huge advantage.
Only in Fortnite
Rocket Racing is the latest game from Psyonix, creator of the fabled Rocket League franchise. As the name suggests, Rocket Racing ditches Rocket League’s car football in favour of high-octane racing with rocket cars on over-the-top tracks.
There’s a catch though: Rocket Racing is only playable in Fortnite. That means you need to link your Rocket League account to Fortnite, allowing Rocket League players to transfer cars, decals, wheels, and accessories to Fortnite.
Thankfully, linking both accounts is incredibly easy. Our step-by-step guide will show you how to link your Rocket League account to Fortnite.
