Gran Turismo 7 is simply the best when it comes to racing sims on PlayStation. GT7 has impressed us all by taking the Real Driving Simulator to a new level this year.
There are so many options to choose from when it comes to how best to tackle a race. Tyres, engine, suspension, and more can all be tuned before starting a long race.
What about fuel, though? Can you change the rate of fuel consumption while out on the track? We've got everything you need to know right here!
Setting up for fuel consumption
Most of the races in Gran Turismo World that are available to you won't give you the option to set the fuel consumption rate. This is because fuel consumption isn't something that's enabled by default.
In some of the endurance races further into the game, this could change, though. However, one sure-fire way to see fuel consumption for yourself is to start a race in arcade mode.
To set up a race in arcade mode, you need to head to GT World, then World Circuits. From there, choose any circuit you want to race around and go to Arcade Mode.
Before jumping into the race, go to custom settings on the right of the screen. You'll then see a large list of race settings pop up. You'll need the Fuel Consumption Rate on the right of the screen.
You can choose to accelerate the fuel consumption, so that it runs out faster. However, if you are going to turn this on, set it to 1x speed so that it's as realistic as possible.
Changing the fuel flow in-flight
When you get into the race, you need to press right on the d-pad and cycle through the different options on the HUD. You'll eventually get to the fuel settings, where you can set it from 1-5.
One is the lowest and leanest fuel setting, with five being the richest and fastest. While five will give you more power, it will also wear the engine out faster, lead to more overheating and potentially see you run out of fuel.
So, be careful when using this, it comes in handy when overtaking, but don't use rich fuel all of the time.
