How to change race lengths

Whether you're in My Team or Grand Prix modes, you can edit the length of your races in the same way. Head over to your Game Options and then the Weekend Structure.

The bottom of this submenu has the session length on it. Pressing left or right on this will edit the length of the race you're about to set up.

Please note that you cannot change your race length settings part-way through a race weekend. Once it's started, you cannot edit this.

What the different lengths mean

A full-length Grand Prix is 305 kilometres in length. The number of laps this takes depends on the circuit you're racing at, but in general, it's between 50 and 70 laps.

How long this is in terms of time varies depending on the average speed of the circuit.

So, for example, very high-speed circuits like Monza and Spa take around 80 minutes. Slower street circuits such as Monaco and Singapore though, are closer to two hours long.

This also has big ramifications for your race strategies, as 25 and 50% races are usually one-stops, with those that are 5 or 3 laps not having pit-stops.
