As we all know, Gran Turismo Sport puts a very heavy focus on online gameplay and multiplayer.
However, sometimes we just want to chill and do some racing offline. That's where GT Sport's campaign comes in!
Whilst it doesn't have an official campaign mode as such, there are offline modes. Let's take a look at these now!
Campaign mode
As we've stated, the game doesn't have a normal campaign mode in the traditional sense of the word.
Instead, the game has a series of challenges that are aimed at teaching players about racing, and racing etiquette. There are also a few races you can take part in.
We highly recommend completing these in order to learn as much as you can about racing. This will set you in good stead ready to jump online and start racing more competitively! Maybe you'll even get ready with a nice new car or setup?!
Arcade mode
One way to play true races offline is in the arcade mode. Here you'll be racing against AI drivers in a race that you set up.
This is probably the closest you'll find to a campaign mode as you'll find in older Gran Turismo games. Surprisingly, you can still earn any currency you wish in Arcade mode.
However, there have been numerous issues with progress not syncing. As such, don't count on all of your Mileage Points or other currency transferring over to online play.
Arcade mode has a number of different ways to play, including single race, time trial, drift trial, custom race, 2-player battle and VR Tour.
Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 will be Polyphony and GT’s first foray onto the next-gen systems and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, GT7 has been delayed until 2022, so we won’t be seeing the king of sims on PS5 for at least another year.
Let’s relive the announcement trailer from last year to give us a glimpse of what to expect next year!

We hope the game drops in the early half of 2022, as we can't wait to play the game.
