Formula 1 will be making its long-awaited return to Las Vegas next week, and EA and Codemasters are celebrating the occasion in style. To coincide with the Las Vegas Grand Prix, a series of events are being held using F1 23, along with a major discount for new players.
Racing entertainment
For the first time in nearly 40 years, Formula 1 returns to the Entertainment Capital of the World. F1 23 celebrates the return to Las Vegas with a series of special events.
To kick things off, Daniel Ricciardo takes us for a first look spin around the new Las Vegas circuit, taking in all the sights and sounds, and barriers too. Starting next week, the festivities really get going.
After the Las Vegas Showrun Lineup Reveal next Monday, Charles Leclerc gives us his take on the Las Vegas circuit. Then on the eve of the race weekend, Max Verstappen and boxer Anthony Joshua take on the Strip in F1 23.
The build-up to the Las Vegas Grand Prix will also see the return of the F1 23 Pro Challenges. Charles Leclerc takes centre stage once again, taking on the Streets of Las Vegas. Lewis Hamilton also takes the spotlight as the focus of a new F1 World Scenario Event.
Las Vegas is like no other city in the world, with F1 23 really stepping up to match Sin City. As part of the party, there are some big savings to be had in F1 23.
Beating the House
Las Vegas isn’t exactly known for its generosity, but the same can’t be said for EA and Codemasters.
As part of the Las Vegas celebrations, F1 23 will be free-to-play on all platforms across the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend. This means from 16 - 20 November, players can hop in on Xbox, PlayStation and PC and race around Las Vegas along with every other circuit on the 2023 F1 calendar.
Double XP will also be available throughout the free weekend. This applies to all F1 World events, scenarios and challenges, and will also see other rewards given to players who participate.
If that’s not enough, F1 23 will also be up to 60% off for those who want to keep playing after the free weekend. This is a massive discount on usual sale prices, so it’s one to take advantage of while you can. In a city where the house usually wins, it seems F1 23 favours the players instead.
Here’s hoping the racing in Vegas lives up to expectations. If it doesn’t, there’s always the Las Vegas F1 Replay coming 22 November to rewrite the result.
