Five months after the game’s launch, RIDE 5 has received a surprise update, bringing with it a slew of community-requested features including an online Race Creator and Riding School.
RIDE 5 update adds Online Race Creator and Riding School
When RIDE 5 launched last summer, the race creator let players create their own races and championships. However, it was offline only so you couldn’t share custom races with other players. That changes now, with the latest patch update adding online support for the Race Creator.
Now players can share custom competitions online and download events created by other players. A new tab also shows the most downloaded events. Players can create and share custom logos for competitions and set up events with suits, helmets, and liveries created by the community.
That’s not all, as the update also adds a new Riding School game mode. This new mode sees players try to beat specific times in four track sectors. Earning at least a bronze medal in every sector unlocks a final challenge where players complete a lap within a time limit. RIDE 5 is a tricky game for beginners to get to grips with, so this new mode should help make the game more approachable.
RIDE 5 Born To Race Pack out now
Coinciding with the update is the new Born to Race Pack. As the name suggests, the latest DLC pack focuses on bikes built for the race track.
Five bikes are included:
- BMW M 1000 RR - Racing Modified (2023)
- Ducati 1299 Superleggera (2017)
- Honda CBR 600RR HRC (2021)
- Honda CBR 600RR HRC - Racing Modified (2021)
- MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR - Racing Modified (2021)
Also included is the Vallelunga circuit, home of Assetto Corsa developer Kunos Simulazioni. RIDE 5’s Born To Race pack is included in the Season Pass or available separately on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox for £7.99/$9.99.
