Yesterday saw the release of the highly anticipated Tempest update for iRacing, which brought rain to the racing simulation for the first time. However, the launch hasn’t been without issues.
The 2024 Season 2 update was so gigantic that arrived slightly later than expected. Now, a Season 2 Hotfix has been deployed to address a few teething issues players have been experiencing.
iRacing 2024 Season 2 Hotfix out now
According to the patch notes, the new Hotfix contains several “critical fixes” for the 2024 Season 2 update.
This includes a fix for an issue where rain-ready cars were unable to transition from Practice to Race and switch tyre compounds in Fixed Setup events. Thankfully, the hotfix addresses this frustrating issue so players can race in the rain.
In addition, the hotfix contains updated setups for the Dallara F3, Dallara iR-01, and Super Formula SF23 along with minor track updates for Lanier National Speedway, Millbridge Speedway, and Oran Park Raceway among other circuits.
