There is very little we know about Forza Horizon 6, other than the fact that it will be set in one of the most-requested settings, Japan. We don't have many racing games at the caliber of the Forza series. Combine that with the setting, and the next installment is instantly on the most-wanted list of 2026.
PlayStation also lacks major modern open-world racers, and the Forza Horizon 5 release on the platform saw glowing critical and commercial reception. But will the sixth installment of Microsoft's poster arcade racing series follow suit?
Will Forza Horizon 6 Launch on PlayStation 5?

Yes, Forza Horizon 6 will release on PlayStation 5. It was made official that Playground's next racing game will be heading to the platform right when it was first announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025.
While the release on the platform is confirmed, it won't be released alongside Xbox and PC. It'll instead arrive sometime during post-launch. In their reveal FAQ, Playground Games said:
It is hard to guess exactly when Forza Horizon 6 will find its way to PlayStation 5. Expect it to take six months at the earliest, with one year or longer being the most probable date.

With more and more Xbox first-party games popping up on PlayStation, Forza's release isn't all that surprising. Some, like Doom: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2, have the same release schedule for both consoles, while others arrive months down the line.
Microsoft's gaming chief, Phil Spencer, did once say to Bloomberg, "I do not see any sort of red lines in our portfolio that say ‘thou must not," about Xbox exclusive releases on PS5. One would guess the headline series for the green brand, like Forza and Gears of War, will arrive a little late, while others that were once multi-platform could drop day one.
That's everything about Forza Horizon 6 releasing on PlayStation 5. We will learn more next year, as it is set for a 2026 release.
