JDM: Japanese Drift Master is finally heading to PlayStation 5 following its original release in May last year. The arcade racer was first available only on PC and was added to Xbox several months after launch.

The launch of JDM was fairly humble. While we were in awe of the open world's sheer beauty, it lacked depth and memorable moments to do its setting justice. Plenty was added to the game post-launch that brings it closer to its full potential, and the PlayStation 5 version will include all the content.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master will release for PlayStation 5 on February 6, 2026. The title was previously slated for a Q1 2026 launch, and now we have a definitive release date.

JDM PlayStation 5 Price & Content

JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be priced at $34.99 on launch for PlayStation 5. It was priced the same for Xbox and the initial PC release. Outside of the base game, the Made in USA DLC will also be available for $5.99.

The Made in USA DLC includes the following cars:

  • Ironvale Thunderbolt T40
  • Ironvale Stallion '69
  • Taipan
  • Delray Vanquisher TR
  • Delray Venom
  • Falcon HellFeather

Names here might look unfamiliar, but they're inspired by American sports or muscle cars like Dodge Viper, Ford Mustang, and the like. We're sure you'll recognise them easily.

The base game had 27 cars, also a mix of licensed and inspired vehicles. More were added with recent updates, along with other additions like photo mode and events. Split-screen support is also being added post-launch.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master's main campaign will provide a dozen or so hours of drama. It is your typical rags-to-podium tale we see in racing games, told through the flipping pages of manga. A fish-out-of-water story where a lad from Europe wants to make a name for himself on new shores and earn the title of best hashiriya.

Outside of the campaign, things were a little sparse for the racer. But with the added content and improvements, PlayStation players can get a more complete experience to live out their JDM drifting dreams.

It is not the only racing game set in Japan releasing on the platform. Tokyo Xtreme Racer is heading to the console only weeks after JDM. Forza Horizon 6 is another title that is confirmed but is without a release date.
