How to change qualifying length in Le Mans Ultimate

Le Mans Ultimate has joined the race, with players getting stuck into the World Endurance Championship. With full race weekends simulated in the game, players can live out a realistic endurance race. But for those who don’t want to give up an entire weekend, how can you change the qualifying length in Le Mans Ultimate?

All or nothing

Qualifying is arguably the most important part of any race weekend. It's here that drivers take everything from practice, and try to put it into one perfect lap.

In the real world, qualifying is split into two sections. The first is a 12-minute qualifying session, where drivers attempt to set their best time.

The top 10 drivers then compete in a 10-minute long Hyperpole session, with the fastest taking pole position for the race. This is quite time-consuming, however, with a minimum of 22 minutes required to complete a full qualifying session every race weekend.

So how can you change the qualifying length in Le Mans Ultimate?

When starting a race weekend, you have the option to set up the weekend exactly how you want. This includes the rules, damage, tyre and fuel usage, and of course, session length.

In the ‘Event Settings’ menu, you can change the qualifying session length or even remove the session altogether. This can be done by using the arrows under ‘Length’ or by clicking the little X in the top corner respectively.

The session length options here are quite limited, but there is a way to adjust the qualifying length further. Click on the ‘Advanced Options’, then scroll down to find the ‘Qualifying Length’ setting. Here, you can finetune the exact length further to give you the length of qualifying that you want.

Once you’re happy with the qualifying length, it’s time to hit the track and make it count!
