Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 2 DLC release time revealed

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s much-anticipated Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC launches later today, bringing eight classic tracks to the popular kart racer. Now, Nintendo has revealed exactly when the Wave 2 DLC will launch.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 2 DLC release time

On the official Nintendo UK Twitter account, Nintendo confirmed that Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course pass will launch today at 3pm BST in the UK.

At the time of writing, the launch time hasn't been confirmed for other regions, but it should launch around the same time.

Wave 2 DLC tracks

Wave 2 of the Booster Course pass includes remakes of eight tracks from classic Mario Kart games across the NES, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, and Wii. Some of the highlights include Kalimari Desert from Mario Kart 64, Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS, and Mario Circuit 3 from the original Super Mario Kart SNES game.

SkyHigh Sundae is a brand new track in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 2 DLC.

There’s also a brand-new track, with Sky-High Sundae making its first appearance in a Mario Kart game in the Wave 2 DLC. Featuring “larger-than-life desserts at nearly every turn,” the Sky-High Sundae will be released for the Mario Kart Tour mobile game at a later date.

Price

Wave 2 is part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, which costs £22.49 on the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers can also download the Booster Course Pass at no extra cost.

Nintendo plans to support MK8 Deluxe for the long run, as the Booster Course Pass will add 48 tracks across six waves until the end of 2023.
