Max Verstappen to race in 2022 Le Mans Virtual Series

Max Verstappen is the top Formula 1 driver in the world right now. The Dutch driver has dominated this season, securing the World Championship five races before the season ended.

When he isn’t racing for real, Verstappen is an avid sim racer, honing his driving skills in games like iRacing. Later this week, the two-time F1 World Champion will also race in the 2022 Le Mans Virtual Series.

Max Verstappen will race at 6 Hours of Spa in round three of the Le Mans Virtual Series.

For the first time this season, the two-time F1 World Champion will compete in the #1 Team Redline LMP entry with teammates Jeffrey Rietveld and Maximilian Benecke.

R8G Esports Team Owner and Indycar star Romain Grosjean will also be on the grid driving the #18 R8G Esports LMP car with Martin Hemmingsen and Ulas Ozyildirim.

How to watch

Taking place on the rFactor 2 platform on the virtual Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, 40 cars will battle it out in two different classes. 24 cars will race in the LMP class, with all drivers racing in ORECA 07 LMP2s.

Another 16 will battle it out in GTE, with teams having a choice of Ferrari, BMW, Porsche and Aston Martin Vantage cars. Manufacturer support also comes to teams representing Alpine and Mercedes AMG.
