After surprising everyone by just dropping their new livery for 2024, McLaren is set to catch everyone out again. The new McLaren 2024 livery is due to arrive in F1 23, but we're waiting to find out the release date.
Papaya stunner
McLaren caught everyone off guard this week by dropping their 2024 livery. Despite setting their car launch date for 14 February, the papaya team jumped the start by unveiling their new car early.
If that wasn’t enough of a surprise, it seems the new livery is also making its way to F1 23 in the near future. McLaren Shadow, the Woking-based team’s esports outfit, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the 2024 livery will soon be available in the F1 game, although a date has yet to be announced.
Not only that, it seems as though McLaren will be running a giveaway based around the livery coming to F1 23, so we could be seeing either the return of the Pro Challenges or maybe something new involving the game.
Either way, it’s great to see F1 teams continuing to use F1 23 to launch liveries and engage with the fans. The livery is shown on the F1 World car rather than the McLaren car, hinting the other teams could also have their 2024 liveries used in the game.
