If you're looking for the best MotoGP 24 controller settings, you've come to the right place.

MotoGP 24 is out now and you can see what we think about this year's MotorBike Grand Prix game in our full review.

MotoGP 24 is the most accessible game yet in the series but you'll still need the best controller settings to be fast on the track.

MotoGP 24 Best Controller Settings

To change your controller settings, you'll need to head to the game's main menu. From there, press Triangle on PlayStation 4 (Y on Xbox) to go to the game's settings.

From there, you'll need to head to the 'Controls' section by pressing R1 on PS (RB on Xbox) three times. You'll then see the controller map of your current console controller pad.

This is where you can remap the controls to different buttons. So, if you'd rather go old school and have to accelerate and brake on the right 'shape' buttons, you can.

We believe that the default controls are best, but what about the other controller settings?

Best Controller Settings

The first controller setting is motion sensors, which allow you to steer the bike by tilting the controller pad like the Nintendo Wii controller.

To access this feature, scroll to the Controls section by pressing R2 on PS (RT on Xbox).

Further to the right, you'll see the 'Calibrations' menu. Here, you can personalize your settings by changing things such as the dead zone.

There are lots of settings here and if you're ever unsure about any of them, you can press R3 on PS (RS on Xbox) to get more info.

We'll give you a rundown of what each of these means, though:

  • Dead zone: Changes the minimum input required for a reaction from the bike. The bigger the dead zone, the more the analog sticks need to be pushed to steer the bike.
  • Linearity: The higher the linearity, the greater the steering precision in the upper and lower extremes of steering.
  • Saturation: Sets the upper and lower steering input.
  • Filter pressure: Sets the delay when an input is made on the controller.
  • Filter release: Sets the delay when the input is stopped/ released.

So, what are the best settings for these? Well, it's largely down to personal preference, as every racing gamer has their own preferences for what's best.

Here are our recommended settings:

  • Dead zone: 0% - You want the steering to be as accurate and responsive as possible.
  • Linearity: 95% - This will set the steering inputs to be slightly more responsive. This is higher than previous games as the bikes understeer less in MotoGP 24.
  • Saturation: 105% - To give a little extra on the upper limit of inputs.
  • Filter pressure: 5% - You want a slight delay for controller inputs.
  • Filter release: 0% - This will help you react to oversteer and other riders as fast as possible.

There's no substitute for hard work out on the track though, and when trying out new controller settings, practice makes perfect. Be sure to test them out in Time Trial or a Quick Race before heading online or onto Career Mode.
