If you're just getting started with MotoGP 24, our guide will show you how to change the difficulty settings and find the right difficulty level for you. Ensuring that the difficulty is correct is one of the most important aspects of having an enjoyable experience in MotoGP 24.
MotoGP 24 is out now and we're really enjoying it. This year's MotoGP game introduces several new features including a revamp to the difficulty settings.
So, what's changed? We've got everything you need to know right here!
MotoGP 24: How to change difficulty
You might think that you can alter your difficulty settings via the game's main menu, but that's not the case. Instead, you'll need to head into a game mode such as Career or Quick Race.
Before starting the event, you'll see a 'Game Experience' tag in the top-right of the screen. Press Square on PlayStation (X on Xbox) enter this.
You'll then see a list of difficulty options including the new 'Adaptive difficulty' which alters the AI to suit your speed and driving style. You can also change this manually if you wish.
'Neural aids' are smart aids that help you with steering, braking and accelerating. For those who want a higher challenge, you can enable joint brakes, manual gears, manual clutch and disable ABS.
Settings such as the ideal racing line, rewinds, off-track aid, and assisted electronics all make MotoGP 24 more accessible to novice riders.
Difficulty settings from the start
If you haven't booted MotoGP 24 up yet, you won't need to head to the Game Experience menu to change your difficulty settings. When you start the game, you'll be asked to select a preset difficulty level.
There are four options to choose from: 'Simplified', 'Intermediate', 'Advanced', and 'Pro'. If you're a beginner, we'd recommend the lower two of these presets.
You won't be going into this blind, though. After selecting a difficulty setting, you'll do a track trial around Mugello to test what these settings feel like and find the right setting for you. You can also change these settings via Game Experience at any time.
It's worth noting that you can't change MotoGP 24's difficulty settings during a race weekend, but they can be changed afterwards.
