In MotoGP 24, you should always begin as you mean to go on, and the ideal way to do this is to get off the line as fast as possible.
MotoGP 24 is the most accessible MotoGP game yet, but one thing that hasn't changed is how to get a good start. With that in mind here's how to get the best start off the line in MotoGP 24.
How to get a good start in MotoGP 24
You might think the best option for getting off the line as fast as possible is to nail the throttle and hope for the best, but that isn't the case.
You'll have to practice to find the sweet spot for the throttle application, but it's around 75% to 80%. If you're getting wheelspin, you can increase the Traction Control (TCS) in the bottom right of the screen.
Beware, though, as turning this up limits the overall grip on offer, meaning you'll be slower as a result. It's all a balancing act of pace versus consistency.
Something else you need to be wary of is pulling a wheelie, which looks cool but will cost you time. If this happens, turn the Anti-wheelie (AW) ECU setting up on the bike.
If you're struggling to get a good start, you can also change the difficulty settings.
Heading into Turn 1
Starts aren't just about the initial acceleration, it's also about getting into the first corner and pulling off overtakes. Experience will teach you where you can slip past the AI, but in general, going for the inside is best.
This may cost you time compared to the ideal racing line, but it will gain you positions.
If you're in the lead, guard the inside as MotoGP 24's AI will take advantage of any gap you leave.
