Need for Speed Unbound Free Cars

The best things in life are free and that's certainly the case with cars in Need for Speed Unbound. We've found all 25 cars that are available for you to claim for absolutely free!

Here's the full list and where to find them.

Need for Speed Unbound Free Cars

Most cars in Need for Speed Unbound can be purchased from your garage. The problem with these is that they can be very expensive and out of your price range.

There is a way to help this though, as 25 cars can be won via Unbound's Story Mode in the Single Player campaign. They aren't difficult to do so either, you simply need to play the game and win events to get these. You can also sell these cars to make extra money.

If you miss one for whatever reason, you can always go back and replay these missions once you complete the Story Mode. These cars will be available at night time and will come customised.

There are four cars available each week and they normally appear before the qualifier at the end of the week.

Week 1

The first car you can win during your first week of events is the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. This classic American Muscle Car can be upgraded all the way to A class, so is an excellent car at the start of the game.

Next up is the 1990 Ford Mustang Foxbody. A more modern take on an old classic, this car is surprisingly good in the corners and not to be sniffed at.

The third car in your first week is the 2006 Lotus Exige S, one of the best drift cars in Unbound, especially early in the game.

The previous three cars are all won via races in Week 1, but the final car is gifted to you after you win the Qualifier. You'll get a 2015 Land Rover Defender (LC), an absolute beast of a vehicle.

Week 2

You start your second week off with an absolute classic, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5. This car might not give you a Licence to Kill, but it does give you a licence to win, as it's rapid for a car that's almost 60 years old.

We then go almost into the modern day with a 2007 Mitsubishi EVO IX, one of the most iconic drifters to come out of 2000s Japan.

We stick with the Japanese drifters for the third car of Week 2, the 2011 Mazda RX-8 Sprint R. This one has a lot of grunt and it's been sorely missing from NFS titles.

The final car of Week 2 is another legendary custom vehicle, the 2008 Ford Crown Victoria. You win this by winning the qualifier event and everything from the outlandish body kit and paint scheme to its absurd pace makes this one car you don't want to miss out on.

Week 3

We begin the third week of events with an absolute beast of a car to tame. The first in Week 3 is the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. This thing goes like a bat out of hell too, it's scarily quick.

Next up is the 2016 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio, a heavily modified take on a beautiful Italian Sports car.

The final of the three race event cars is the 2020 Polestar 1, a favourite of those that played Need for Speed Heat. The former cover star of Heat makes an impact in Unbound, as it's one of the most complete cars in the game.

The car rewarded to you for winning Week 3's Qualifier Event is the Nissan GTR R35. This is a sleek and futuristic look for a car that's always pushed the boundaries of what we thought was possible.

Week 4

The fourth week starts with the incredible 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago SV, a true Supercar that's also drop-dead gorgeous to look at.

The second ride on offer through the race events is the 2018 BMW M5, a solid and dependable German Sports car.

The third car in Week 4 is A$AP Rocky's custom Mercedes Benz E190 from 1988. This car is rapid and will serve you very well. It's so cool to see that EA have recreated this vehicle in real life too. It can be yours by winning the Boss Battle in Week 4.

What's arguably even faster though is the 2018 McLaren 570S Spider, a true modern Hypercar. This is attainable via a Race Event in Week 4.

The Grand

The final set of cars you can get for free is in the final "The Grand" event. Depending on which car you choose to use in the Prologue, you'll be rewarded with a customised version of that car.

So, that's either the 1969 Dodge Charger RT, 1988 Lamborghini Countach or the 1998 Nissan Silvia S14.

Bonus free cars

In addition to the cars thatcan be claimed via the story mode, there are some extras that you can get. These are attained by completing certain collectables within the game.

There are seven in total and we've listed them below with their unlock requirements:

  • 2016 Ford Focus RS - Breaking all of the billboards around Lakeshore.
  • 2015 Nissan 350Z - 135 stars or long jumps.
  • 2015 Porsche Cayman GT4- 90 stars on all speedruns.
  • 2016 BMW M4 GTS - Smashing all of the bear collectables.

There are just two more to go through, as 100% completing NFS Unbound will earn you the 1981 BMW M1. One more bonus car can be unlocked and it's the iconic BMW M3 GTR from Most Wanted.
