With EA expected to finally reveal Need for Speed 2022 this week, the official NFS social media pages have been updated for the first time in nearly a year, hinting at an imminent game reveal.
New Need for Speed logo revealed
Head over to the official Need for Speed and Criterion Games Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages, and you’ll notice the pages are updated with new a new banner and logo teasing NFS 2022 for the first time.
We get a first look at the new NFS logo that will be used for the game, confirming that the leaked logo from a few weeks ago was real. It has a bolder text font compared to past NFS logos, suggesting a new direction for the series.
The banner features green “do not ignore” text and Criterion’s social media page also now has a green logo. We’re getting ProStreet vibes from the green colour scheme.
The name of the new NFS is not revealed yet, but it’s reportedly titled Need for Speed Unbound.
Need for Speed Unbounded reveal expected this week
Responding on Twitter to a fan asking if NFS 2022 will be revealed this week, the Need for Speed page posted a cryptic eyes emoji.
This all but confirms that NFS 2022 will be revealed this week amid rumours from Tom Henderson and Jeff Grubb. Notably, this is the first social media post on the official NFS page since December 2021.
It certainly looks like EA is gearing up to reveal Need for Speed 2022 imminently – we could even see an official trailer later today.
Rumours suggest NFS 2022 is set in a fictional map inspired by Chicago, features anime-inspired visual effects, and is heavily multiplayer-focused with a new Meetups feature. We’ll find out soon if these rumours are true very soon so sit tight.
