RaceRoom's next update features DTM cars for the 2023 season!

RaceRoom is a free-to-play racing simulator and is getting consistent updates. These not only add new content but also improve the game's overall experience.

RaceRoom is getting not only new cars for the 2023 German Touring Car season, but also updates to the visuals of the game's tracks. We've got everything you need to know about it right here!

RaceRoom DTM Update

The German Touring Car series is one of the top level sports car series in the world. DTM had the likes of Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard and current Formula 1 driver Alex Albon competing in it over the years.

DTM is a prominent series within RaceRoom, with several years of cars included in the game. 5 cars are included in this pack, with the Ferrari and Audi being completely new to RaceRoom.

The Ferrari 296 GT3, Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, BMW M4 GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 (992) and Mercedes-AMG GT3 are the five DTM racers included in the 2023 update.

The DTM car pack will be available when this update goes live for €14.99, so probably around £13.99 for UK gamers. Discounts will be applied for cars that are already in your garage.

Tyre Model

KW Studios have also been working on a new tyre model that will be rolled out during this update. Feedback from players of the game has been used to tailor this tyre update to RaceRoom.

The tyres update means that how the tyres affect the car while cornering and braking is much more realistic than before. For those that want to read up on the changes in more detail, they are available to read on RaceRoom's forum.

Track updates

KW Studios have been brief on the details of this, but have said the following:

"Many tracks have been updated with additional trackside details, improved layout accuracy and their latest branding."

So, while no new circuits have been added, the visuals of them will do. The most notable example is the beautiful artwork of Michele Alboreto at the corner that's been renamed in his honour at Monza.

This update will be available to all RaceRoom players on 18th December.
