F1 23 driver ratings

With the 2023 Formula 1 season well underway, it's time to take a look at the F1 23 driver ratings.

Since they were introduced a few years ago, Codemasters' rating system has been controversial with both fans and drivers.

Claims that they are created independently of car performance seems odd, given they usually follow outcomes rather than actual driver performance.

The stats used have also been very limited, especially with what F1 Manager showed us last year. So what could we see in the F1 23 driver ratings? Let's take a look.

F1 23 driver ratings

Codemasters has finally revealed the driver ratings for F1 23, and it's not a surprise to see the dominant force in the sport right now on top.

Max Verstappen takes a game-best 94 overall along with being the best in pace and race craft. The two-time champion is set to make it three in a row already, the only question is can someone stop him making it four in a row next year?

Elsewhere in the ratings we have Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied on 92 overall as the only other world champions on the grid its not a surprise so see them rated so highly.

At the bottom, as expected, are the newbies to Formula 1. Williams rookie Logan Sargent and AlphaTauri's Nyck de Vries are tied at the bottom with a 71 overall.

What about F2?

F1 23 will launch with the 2022 Formula 2 roster also in the game. However, there ratings haven't been revealed yet so we will update this post with the full F2 ratings when they are available.

It is probably safe to assume that F2 champion Felipe Drugovich is the highest rated, but the likes of Theo Pourchaire, Dennis Hauger, and Liam Lawson will be right up there too.

The 2023 F2 roster will be added to F1 23 around December time if the previous few years are anything to go by.

F1 23 release date

The F1 23 release date is almost here. Those that buy the Champions Edition can go racing on 16 June while the Standard Edition will unlock on 16 June.
