It's hard to imagine a theme park planning a big opening at the moment, but some parts of the world have handled 2020 a little better than others.
Japan appears to be one of those places, as Universal Studios Japan has announced the grand opening of Super Nintendo World!
Super Nintendo World opening date
The theme park will hold it's grand opening on 4 February, 2021.
That's remarkably soon. While fans have been allowed in limited capacity at Japanese sporting events for a while now, it will be interesting to see how many people flock to Super Nintendo World.
With the annoucement, came a little sneak-peek too.
It looks exactly as you would expect, and is something every Nintendo fan will want to visit!
Mario Kart comes to life
One of the big things on display in that video is Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge. A release statement makes it sound like your wildest dreams come true.
"The world's first interactive Mario Kart theme park ride will leave you with a rush of adrenaline!"
Well then... !
With the introduction of Mario Kart Live this year, Nintendo have clearly been putting an emphasis on their amazing racing franchise.
It's been a long time since the release of Mario Kart 8, and fans have been wondering what's next.
We are hopeful this means a new game could also be in the works, with some amazing new tracks and features.
